Addio a Kelly Preston: la star di Jerry Maguire e moglie di John Travolta si è spenta 57 anni

Ci ha lasciati, all’età di 57 anni, Kelly Preston, attrice nota al grande pubblico per pellicole quali Jerry Maguire, Mischief e I Gemelli. L’attrice si è spenta a causa di un cancro al seno dopo un’estenuante battaglia durata due anni.

Ad annunciarne la scomparsa è stato il marito John Travolta:

“È con il cuore gonfio di dolore che vi informo che la mia splendida moglie Kelly ha perso la sua battaglia di due anni con il cancro al seno. Ha combattuto la battaglia con coraggio con l’amore e il sostegno di tante persone. Io e la mia famiglia saremo sempre grati ai suoi dottori e alle infermiere del MD Anderson Cancer Center, a tutti i centri medici che ci hanno aiutato e ai suoi tantissimi amici e ai cari che le sono stati vicino. L’amore e la vita di Kelly verranno ricordati per sempre. Prenderò del tempo per stare con i miei figli che hanno perso la madre, quindi perdonatemi in anticipo se non ci faremo vivi per un po’. Ma per favore sappiate che sentirò il vostro affetto nelle settimane e nei mesi a venire. Con tutto il mio amore, JT.”

It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.  My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.  But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal.
